The Dimensions of Observable Growth is an observation rubric designed to help describe and cultivate attributes that are difficult to quantify. It’s designed to be fully editable, making it possible to create rubrics (small or large) that are specifically relevant to your work, your community, and the individuals who are learning to assess their own growth.
Read about the development of the instrument, here.
Check out the rubric itself, here. (Don’t be daunted by the wall of words. In the “Big DOG,” you’ll find 5 dimensions of growth, with 12 or more attributes each. Radio buttons along the left margin allow you to “turn on” only the attributes you wish to manage and edit in your custom created “Little DOG.”)
